So after many years, I am no longer disappointed that Buffy no longer exists as a continuing tv show. Admittedly, the end of Buffy allowed me to discover other great shows (past and more recent past) that have also been subsequently canceled/ended (Arrested Development, Deadwood, my beloved Freaks and Geeks). But none of these enlisted demons and freakishly super humanly strong girls to act out the humor and drama of our world (the frailty of life, loss of lover or mother, simply being a girl in this big bad world). And none had Buffy-speak. The colloquial eloquence of a valley girl who loves her friends, tends to date vampires with souls, and stops the occasional apocalypse. But now we have Season 8 in comic book form. Hurray!
I like bicycles, birds, haikus, epic russian novels, bad/all teen movies, queens, maps, nyc subway, farmer's markets, csas, sustainability, comic books, urban decay, claw foot bath tubs, buffy the vampire slayer, food, change, southeast asia, gamelan and bahasa indonesia, books on tape, mixed tapes, and you.
